Oasis Dresses

Oasis is one of my favourite UK stores - it's suprising it's taken me soo long to write a post about them. Half my clothes if not more come from there. Most days I am usually wearing something I got from there (today it's my skirt - which i got about 5 years ago and I still wear)

This is the first time in a while that I haven't gone mad in their sales. Most of the good stuff usually goes into the sale so I always wait till then. Lately though they've changed their strategy, they do limited amounts of the really nice designs and they go like that! So other than a suit (i get all my work suits from here) I bought in their mid season sale a few months ago, I haven't shopped here in a while. I was browsing though and came across a few dresses I really like.

The photos are really small so you have to click on them to go to the relevant pages.

1. White Rose Maxi Dress

2. Smudge Flower Print Dress
3. Tropical Flower Print Dress - I love the design and the back.

4. Stripe Peplum Bandeau Dress - have I said how much I love stripes? The floral print of this dress is on sale - soo not interested! lol

5. Frill Peplum Dress - this will either look fabulous on me or awful.

6. Pleat Back Detail Dress

7. Ruffle Sculpture Dress

8. Body Con 2 in 1 dress - I know I can't do Body con but I like the way this looks - the top half is pretty.

9. LA Snow Wash Bandeau Dress - i dont know what it is but there's something I like about this dress.

Harrods

As part of my birthday surprises, I got a letter from Harrods with a £100 giftcard! I thought maybe it was a present from some benevolent uncle who couldn't think of what to get me ... until I saw the "you've been specially chosen .... have to spend £250 or more".

Now I dont even know how they got my details or why I was specially chosen - especially as I haven't shopped there in a WHILE but I'm tempted! Now all I need is for them to have a loubou sale ..... :-D

I know there is one of those dept stores that doesn't or didn't stock loubou shoes. I hope it's not them. Fingers crossed and prayers - they have a sale before the end of the month. In the meantime, I checked out their bags ...

Loving these:

1. Vivienne Westwood Berkley Clutch

2. MOSCHINO CHEAP & CHIC - Pearl Bow Clutch. This also comes in black

I clearly have a thing for bows and clutches.

I also saw these in their jewellery collection.

1. Lara Bohinc - Solar Eclipse Cuff.

I'm a big fan of Bohincy (as I call her in my head) - her designs are great. Only annoying thing is apart from the high end stuff which is like tens of thousands, the normal stuff is all gold plated - basically super high priced costume jewellery or panda. Love this cuff though.

Also love this burberry watch

Bring on the Harrods sale!

Birthday Post!

It was my birthday on the 2nd and I had a totally fabulous day. I always have to wear something new on my birthday so even though I wasn't sure what I was going to wear, I bought this from M&S.

M&S do great lingerie generally- slight more limited with the bigger ranges but generally quite nice. I usually get nice sets there and when they are on sale, the prices are fantastic. I also love their vest and short combos. They are easy, comfy and sexy all in one. I wear them to sleep, I wear them as tops, I wear them to potter around the house - they just work with everything! Plus at £6 for each set even full price, it's more than affordable!

These are some more from the range that I want.

In the end I ended up wearing my bcbg colour block dress - my first ebay buy :-D

Zanotti Zebra Shoe & Pierre Hardy

Saw these on one of my favourite shoe blogs ever - A woman and her shoes. Aida does awesome profiles of some weird and wonderfully but utterly unique and beautiful shoes.

These Zanotti shoes just called out to me.

I like animal prints and stripes. Plus I also like the way they looked on the model.

Also saw these which I think are quite interesting. I swear I must have been a tall skinny wench with endless legs in a past life cos my attention keeps straying to items that would suit those kind of people. Much like these Pierre Hardy shoes ...

US Net-A-Porter Sale

The US site is on sale now - not that inspired by the bags but I thought this was super cute

It reminds me of this bag I got in my teens on my first day trip to Paris. Can't remember who I went with but we went to Gallerie Lafayette and there was this boutique store filled with yummy bags. I got one with the big plastic thing outside and inside was another cream bag - it was like a 2 in one bag. Very handy as I could put my books and travel car on the outside where i could find them easily and the rest in the other bag. I cant remember what happened to it. Probably one of those lost in the big Bag tragedy.

Now for the shoes .....

1 Tony Burch

I like the contrasting blue and the toe strap. I DEFINITELY have a thing for toe straps this summer.

2. Brian Atwood

He is well on his way to becoming one of my favourite shoe designers

Not crazy about the style of these but think the colour is uber interesting.

These on the other hand are yummy

And I love this heel

3. Others

Lanvin shoes are a bit hit and miss for me but these are cute

I love Pucci prints generally. Not crazy about ankle or midy boots but really like heels and platforms on this. Straight up sexy!

And finally the loubous. These are interesting - slightly different from the run of the mill ones. Not sure I'd get them though. Just like the mix of colors. And the T-Bar.

Jewelry

I saw these cuffs which i think are really unique and interesting especially the flower one.

Finally - would you believe the price of this headband? LMAO!

http://www.net-a-porter.com/product/37365

Mimi Holliday Knickers

Aren't these knickers just delish?

These are quite vegas show-girl tastic.

Lola Rose Rings

Lola Rose jewelry is on sale on brand alley right now.

I liked these best- particularly the black one. They are quite simple for my normal tastes but they are interesting enough.

Damn! You have to be super quick with brand alley - in the time it's taken me to put this post up the rings have sold out! Ahhh well. I may actually have bought the black one.

P.S - isn't this just hideous? Yuck!

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Ok so now I have a problem. I emailed the net-a-porter people about being put on the waiting list for the YSL ring and they just emailed me saying it's available again. I was all excited. Until Vickii (damn her) told me it's costume jewelry. At a £105 pounds - is it worth it? If I add a bit more money - I can buy some serious investable jewelry.

Ok it's not like all my gold is real gold, but then I wouldn't spend that much on it in the first place. I'm more or less paying £70 for the ysl brand name. I dont like the ring because it's YSL - I just like the design - the abstract detail is beyond delicious. And anyone who knows me knows I love unusual cocktail rings. Hmmm maybe this should be my post-exam treat to myself - since I'm not going away this 5 day bank holiday weekend I've got (SUCH a waste!)- ......

I have 2 days to decide. Buy or Not?

Georgina Goodman Shoes & Others

Hello all and welcome! Inspired by Onada's lookbook - i decided to start posting up things I want and will hopefully get someday. I spend most days emailing my friends all these links so figured why not put them up on a blog? Hope you like.

I will try and include links to the websites on all the pictures but if I dont then please feel free to email me.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I get updates from many designer sale websites and designer retailers. This one is from brandalley.

Georgina Goodman

Now I've never been the hugest fan of Georgina Goodman but looking through the range I liked some of her collection.

1. Jenny

They remind me of these shoes from the Outnet.com that I'm still thinkinging about (tbp - to be posted)

2. Fenella

I like the mint colour and the little bow - plus i'm a sucker for peeptoe shoes

3. Libby

Now these I think are super-hot! The heels are sexiest kind, tall and thin - these are proper stilletos! Also really like the pattern from the side view.

4. Grosvenor

Now these are fabulously tacky with the perspex stripper heel but they are still cute. Maybe it's just the pine sole and the tan colour - it just looks ... clean! For lack of a better word.

Other Shoes

I love love love the heels of these shoes. The blue patent is a little plain but i think they are super interesting. They remind me of some designer shoes I saw one time around the time when heeless shoes became all the rage. Glad to see the trends are finally filtering down to high street level. (Ish - these aren't exactly high street)

I also love Mary Janes and t-bars. They dont always fit me as I have wide-ish feet but I always admire them. Thought these were interesting

And finally huge fan of Alexander McQueen shoes. The heels and their height are unparalleled. These also come in a beautiful pale green (mint) colour as well.

If you're interested in any of these shos - hurry up as the sale only lasts for a few days! If you want to sign up to brandalley please let me know and i'll send you an invite as I get £10 off for everyone I invite ;-)

On a final tip, a little somethng to make you ladies smile. I wouldn't mind this coming at me in the morning ;-)
