Dream Items

I haven't updated in a while - possibly because I haven't seen anything new that I really like and also because I realise that I have to find about £2000 to pay for all my holidays this year. Mmmhhhh - that's it! I covet loads and loads of money! lol.

I thus decided to put up some of my dream items - the classic ones I've loved forever and wanted for ages and will get at some point (before I'm 30) if I ever get my act together and spending habits in check.

1. A Pair of Loubous - lol.

I saw these turqouise silk and antique lace ones and my fell in love. There were only 35 ever made - specially for this group and they are all gone but I still think they are utterly beautiful.

You should checkout the website - they often have very pretty collectibles (if you ever have a few thousand pounds spare and need to find that perfect gift for the person who has everything :-)

2. Something Chanel

I love all things Chanel and from the time I could distinguish between Ungaro and Oscar de la Renta (2 old school faves), I decided that on my 30th birthday I would be dressed in head to toe Chanel. Lol. Or at the very least something chanel - hahahahahaha. 30 is coming up soon - my wasted potential, stupid recession and irreprsesible spending habits mean I probably cannot afford to go head to toe but Chanel will be rocked! (I even decided that should I die young, I would want all my assets sold and distributed to my friends on the proviso that they wear something chanel to my funeral) - lolll.

I was always more interested in acquiring the clothes (I actually figured on my 30th - I'd wear a chanel suit during the day and then change to a fabulous couture gown afterwards - big dreams I tell you! Soo much so I have a diet plan for my ideal weight at that time - lol. Must fit into a chanel suit!).

I can soo see myself rocking a suit like this

Or these from the new season

Or something vintage - I love those classic chanel suits. Check out this old photo I found of Barbra Streisand, Marlene Dietrich, Elsa Martinelli, Wearing Chanel Suits at a Chanel Fashion Show

Anyways - as much as I love Chanel - I haven't always been too fond of their bags. I'm really not crazy about the leather chain handle. There's just something about the leather threading between the chains that bugs me. Also for the longest time - I wasn't a big fan of quilted bags. They reminded me too much of duvets and those michelin type duffel coats that were all the rage at some point. Now however, I find myself finding them very charming. Lol - maybe it's age but they have become quite pleasing to the eye. (In small doses). I blame Marc Jacobs and burberry. Imagine my immense covetousoness when Onada rocked up in a chanel bag that I ABSOLUTELY MUST HAVE OR I WILL DIE!!! Lol - soo can't wait to raid her closet ;-)

So the bag I wanted is the Classic Shopper - black or nude.

I can live with the small chain handles Although maybe by that time they'd have a version with plain links or this chain .... I love the colour on this bag and the shape.

Alternatively if I couldn't get the shopper above I'd get this. Still has sufficient wow power and I like the hndle although it may not fit too easily/comfortably on the shoulder.

As I was browsing through the chanel website - I came across this and thought someone in the design team for chanel has a sense of humour!

No it's not a paper bag - it's a proper leather (white calfskin bag) - lolll.

3. I've already talked about my Chloe Heloise Obsession.

4. Fine Jewelry - Cocktail Rings

When I was younger I always thought women shouldn't buy themselved perfume or serious jewelry. I always used to get them as gifts. Now I'm older, wiser and evidently not as endearing. I have to buy me own shit - lol.

Everyone that knows me knows I have an insatiable obsession for cocktail rings. My dream engagement ring would be a huge purple diamond rock - lol. The kind that would make even Scarlet O'Hara blush.

The following can all be found on Astley Clarke.

If this was a purple sapphire (do they have those?) it would be almost perfect. (Not sure how I feel about the diamonds down the side)

or these: - (now those are rocks you can see! loll)

Actually - what i really want is humungous solitaire purple diamond (Again they must have those right?) - with a platinum band. :-D (might as well get it all right ;-)

Ok finally this one would be be soo nice - if it was square.

It will serve as a sufficient promise ring ;-)
Right that is all from me - I've done no work today so should at least pretend to even try. have a great weekend all!. xx
